Photo Gallery: Nature

I grew up immersed in nature, but adulthood in an urban-based job dulled my ecological awareness until the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in 2020. Outdoors was the only place I felt safe and sane. Freedom from the 40-hour workweek let me pay attention to nature in my neighborhood again. I measured days in the ripeness of blackberries and weeks in the growth of hawk chicks. Dusting off my camera, I began to document the little marvels we overlook all too easily in the self-absorbed bustle of humanity.

Check out the Adventures category on my blog for additional photographs, and the stories behind the shots.
